Nnamdi Kanu led over 300,000 IPOB Members to Visit Ebube Muonso

Onitsha - The leader of the Indegineous People of  Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu led over 300,000 members to the residence of the Parish Priest of Blessed Iwene Tansi, Umudioka, Anambra State, Nigeria, Rev. Fr Emmanuel Obinma popularly known as Ebube Muonso as part of his ongoing visit to prominent opinion leaders in the Southeast

Nnamdi Kanu who thanked the Catholic clergy for his prayers particularly towards the peaceful resolution of all national crisis said he was in Umudioka to personally throw some light on the Biafra Struggle and the need to pursue such realistically.

While commending Ebube Muonso for upholding the truth of all times, the IPOB leader maintained that it was important that prominent spiritual leaders with overwhelming fellowship like him be made to see reason for his relentless clamour for the state of Biafra.

It will be recalled that only recently Ebube muonso has called for an end to every form of harrasment by members of IPOB on innocent citizens of the region

The Sultan of Sokoto and Chairman Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, has declared September 1st 2017, as Eid-el-Kabir, Sallah day. 
The announcement is contained in a statement signed and released by the Chairman, Advisory Committee on Religious Affairs to the Sokoto Sultanate Council, Prof. Sambo Junaidu today August 23rd. 
According to Junaidu, the declaration followed the sighting of the new moon of Zulhijja on Tuesday, August 22nd.
“The advisory committee in conjunction with the National Committee on Moon Sighting received various reports on moon sighting across the country confirming the sighting of the new moon of Zulhijja on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017,’’ it said.
The statement added that Muslims in Nigeria would observe Friday, September 1st as Sallah day.
